:: Dada Mail 3.0.0 Release Candidate 1 Released

I'm happy to introduce the next version of Dada Mail: 3.0.0 RC 1. This release is the last step to the proper 3.0.0 release and if it proves stable, will become the 3.0.0 Release. I've got a lot of news to share about it, but first -

Here's the download page:

Some big time enhancements have been done to the Basic Dada Mail - currently, this version comes with every single plugin and extension we've ever written (and still think is worth keeping). Plugins and extensions that used to be available only with Pro Dada and/or the Magicbook (a hefty amount) are now available in this free version.

Along with that, we've up'd the defult configuration limit of lists from 3 to 5 and the limit of subscribers per list from 5,000 to 25,000. We want Dada Mail to be as powerful and useful to you as possible, so go ahead and use Dada Mail to its fullest.

:: Pro Dada 3.0.0 RC 1

At long last, we finally have available a Pro Dada version of the 3.x series. Along with this Pro Dada version, we have a completely new Pro Dada Subscription back end, so you can pick up a copy of Pro Dada (2.10.16 is still available), as well as a copy of the Pro Dada Manual, as well as *view* the Pro Dada Manual, while you're logged in, without having to download it.

If you're already a subscriber, log in right now:

If you would like to subscribe to Pro Dada for a year, we'd love to have you aboard. Your subscription keeps the Dada Mail Project running. More information, screenshots of the Subscriber back end, as well as a Table of Contents of the Dada Mail Manual can be found at:

:: The Dada Mail Manual

The Dada Mail Manual has replaced the Magic Book. It's filled with all new documentation, heavily covering almost every single list administration screen as well as installation, configuration, plugins/extensions and other more advanced topics.

In 3.0, there's links to the relevant topics in most every list control panel screen of your own Dada Mail installation, so help is now just a click away.

The Dada Mail Manual is more user-centered than the Magicbook was, filling the need for an actual manual of the program, instead of a book of tricks.

We think it's pretty amazing and is currently only offered with a Pro Dada Subscription and with our own installation services.

We've put five whole sample chapters up that detail the Basic, Advanced and Semi-Automatic Installation Methods of Dada Mail, as well as Configuring Dada Mail for the SQL Backend. Start reading them at:

http://mojo.skazat.com/installation

Again, if you're already a subscriber (subscriptions are year-long), start downloading and reading the new Dada Mail Manual, as well as grab a copy of Pro Dada at:

http://mojo.skazat.com/pro_dada

If not, go ahead and help support the Dada Mail Project:

If you've purchased *only* the Dada Mail Magicbook in the last year, well, today is your lucky day - contact us and we'll transform your Magicbook-only subscription to a Pro Dada subscription, complete with the Dada Mail Manual. Thanks for supporting Dada Mail by Subscribing the Magicbook and you're welcome.

:: Professional Installation Services - We're Installing 3.0

We've started installing Dada Mail 3.0 for our clients for almost 4 months now and we'd love to install/upgrade it for you. Get a professional installation done by us with many plugins and extensions offered (7 in all are included at the base price and many more can be added for a little more extra).

Let us upgrade your current Dada Mail - no matter what the version is to 3.0 and keep all your old list subscribers, settings and archives. You'll also help keep the Dada Mail Project afloat.

Here's more information:

http://mojo.skazat.com/installation/request.html

If you currently have one of the 3.0 betas installed by us, please get in touch, as we'd like to get those upgraded for you. Replying to this email is an easy way to do that.

Finally, our Pro Dada installations also give you a full year subscription to Pro Dada and the Dada Mail Manual - complete with download links for Pro Dada and the Dada Mail Manual.

:: Bluehost and Dada Mail - One Click Install

Bluehost has recently added the, SimpleScripts feature in their Cpanel and SimpleScripts includes a one-click installation of Dada Mail.

SimpleScripts themselves have been extremely good at staying on top of our releases. So, if you want an easy way to install Dada Mail, including the betas of Dada Mail 3.0, it's literally a one-click installation away. Thousands of people already have - it's quite amazing to this very teeny tiny developer. The Simple Scripts installer seems to be able to upgrade your Dada Mail, and configures Dada Mail with the SQL backend. None too shabby.

Here's more information on Bluehost:

http://www.bluehost.com/track/dadamail/

We get emails written to us pretty frequently, telling us they're very pleased with Bluehost in general and are happy to be using Dada Mail on it. That's saying a lot, I think.

I do know that both Westhost and Verio have installers for Dada Mail as well (anyone else?), but they seem to only offer very outdated versions -

If you are a Westhost or Verio customer, can you contact them and let them know about Dada Mail 3? If enough people do, I bet they'll add the fresher version of Dada Mail soon.

If you yourself have a Cpanel-powered hosting account, let them know about SimpleScripts and how awesome it is at installing Dada Mail. Thanks :)

:: Taking a break on July 7th, will return in September

Finally, this is a heads-up that I will be taking a leave from World Headquarters to ride my bicycle around Europe for two whole months. I'll be starting in Paris, France and ending in Dublin, Ireland.

If you need something from me - questions answered, development done, installations finished - let me know as soon as heavenly possible and we'll get that all set. I may check in with World Headquarters from time to time, but consider me fairly unreachable (by design! :grin:) for most of that time. I hope you too have a great summer -

And thanks for reading - let us know how the new version is working for you. I really appreciate all your kind words - a huge amount of, "The new version looks very slick!", your feedback, your bug reports and everything else. I hope we were able to solve your problems on the boards:

http://mojo.skazat.com/support/boards

and help you with any other problems you were having,

Cheers,
