    Hello,

Thanks a lot for this nice minimal image.
I am testing it as i am planning to use a raspberry as a standalone media player for digital signage.

I installed omxplayer, fbi, vsftp server and nginx webserver.

I play images and videos in console mode.

While everything runs smoothly with a stock Raspbian image, i can't get omxplayer (video player) nor fbi (images slideshow) to work with moebius.

I think there is something like a lib or a core functionality like overlay or video frame buffer missing. I tried to install xfbdev and even X server with LXDE hoping the missing libs would be installed, but with no luck.

when typing something like "omxplayer /home/pi/video.mpg" it starts and then finish and echoes "have a nice day ;)"

    No errors. No log generated.

    anyone have an idea ?

    thanks a lot.

There are several digital signage players for Pi.

    Check out http://artbox.io

and I know there are others.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the answer.
Yes i have already tried a lot of solutions from simple media players to complete digital signage solutions but i really need specific functionalities so i need to build my own solution.

No, not yet at least :)
I've taken a long pause and I'm now rebuilding it with yocto to have a minimal distro with minimal requirements because I'm spending a lot of my time with robotics. I'm also adding some real time patches and trying to keep a small footprint but I'm still on the run.
