I've been informed about it and I'm currently rebuilding a new Moebius version, I'm now on v2.x branch tree, fixing new chips (hopefully hynix as well), Kernel 3.12, small footprint and reduced memory usage.
I don't have a A+/B+ (yet) to make some tests but I'm planning to release this new version quickly. I also have new firmware blob files from Broadcom so I guess it would fit into your B+ nicely. It might be premature to use it in a production machine with a lot of packages but I guess it will be something totally different from currently bloated debian based versions around.
I don't have backers and I'm creating the project with my own forces, it might take some time to see an huge repository around it but I'm planning to release something usable in the next 10-20 days.
if you're a developer and you'd like to make experiments with it checkout http://moebiuslinux.sourceforge.net, I'm blogging on it with my latest tests. If you are an end user looking for a viable raspbian alternative I must be sincere and inform you that I'll be ready with a full blown distro in a couple of months.
With this new upcoming 2.x release I have decided to drop the Raspbian Debian core in favor of an highly optimized toolchain, eglibc instead of a complete x86 derivative glibc, busybox and lots of full compiles, from basic services and beyond. I'm building it from scratch, that's the main reason for my latest delays.
I'm now rebuilding even a new repository (on github) and I'm using it for these initial tests. I don't know if this new path will match your expectations but I'm glad to hear your thoughts

Hi,
How fix Moebius for work with Hynix-Sasmung RAM?
I bought a Pi B+ and this MoebeiusOS can't boot.
Thanks
