i'm curious on what your take is on this effort is given HPSF has
already adopted spack and spack kind of pushes lmod over
environment-modules
we use environment-modules internally and have zero plans to migrate
to lmod, but we're also not a spack shop. we primarily pushed towards
environment-modules, because it's pulled in via Redhat.
i recall speaking with the openhpc folks a few years ago and they were
pretty hostile at the time of supporting non-lmod/non-spack type
stuff. not that implying any of this connected, i'm just curious
because i don't fully understand all the players or how it's all tied
together.
