Status of Modules

Hi

Can anyone tell me what the status of the Modules packages is?
I downloaded version 2.0 but the file do not seem to have changed since
1993 and it will not compile with an upto date version of TCL.

Is there a newer version I should be using or another package that does
a similar job?
