Development Status of Modules and ftp.Modules.ORG

Hi

I would like to find out what is the latest development status on
Modules.  The webpage at http://www.modules.com/ seems hasn't been
updated for more than a year, and the FTP host ftp://ftp.Modules.ORG/
has been unaccessible for a quite while.

Is Modules still being developed, or has the project being ceased?  If
so, has it been replaced by another project/software that addresses
the users' environment, or what other similar software do you
recommend in place of it?
