Excellent. Great work on this.

May I belatedly point out another quick patchlet? I've been looking at 
the Module::Build RT queue and found ticket #16188[1] which also exists 
in the MakeMaker queue as ticket #16225[2]. Scwhern's suversion 
repository is down so I can't investigate what led to the current code; 
it looks like a straightfoward fix though...
