Well I am attempting to use your code but after I enter
my Settings and I select an item to change I get

Error java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/bind/
JAXBException

Detail

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/bind/
JAXBException
at org.prismiq.mcontrol.beans.MediaBean.
getManager(MediaBean.java:466)
at org.prismiq.mcontrol.beans.MediaBean.
getPlaylists(MediaBean.java:211)
.
.
---- cut ----

This generates the same error for all menu items.
ANY IDEAS??

I googled a bit to no avail.

Also, could you add a settings item to the menu?
This comes up when you initialy request http://xxx:8081/
mcontrol
but subsiquently you only get WELCOME with no way of
changing the settings
ie http://xxx:8081/mcontrol/settings.jsp

    looks like the same as:

    http://www.prismiq.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=1849&sid=97a52549c72565ecae91de001fc19773

Oops. The missing class is from jaxb-api.jar (part of Sun's
    Java Web Services Developer Pack).

I had forgotten that I put these jars in
mserver/bin/Tomcat/endorsed on my machine so they're being
    loaded automatically.

I assume you should therefore do the same. You can download
them yourself from sun.com or, since mcontrol.war is just a
zip file, you can unpack it and copy out the (three) jar
files from under WEB-INF/lib. (Don't actually alter the war
    file though.)

    I think you'll need to copy jax-qname.jar, jaxb-api.jar and
    namespace.jar at a minimum.

Yes, it's an installation bug, the jar files mentioned must
be installed by hand as described until I get a change to
    update the release tarball.
