  A quick answer --sorry, I'm quite busy these days.

  When I wrote: "method_1() replaces by method_2()", obviously I meant
*is an alias for*. I just want to make it clear that I pay a careful
attention to backward compatibility and that it won't be broken in any
ways after the API "changes"/upgrades.

  I'll comment further on the proposal and answers later, probably
  on sunday.
