I am running the tool in LInux (thanks for making a MB/TCP sim for Linux!) and can start with a clear project, add a PLC, and then configure registers. I then save the project. When I come back and start up ModbusPal.jar and try to load the project, the status flashes Red. When I look at the traffic with tcpdump, I see my Master device receives "illegal function (1) " in response to the query for FC 3 Read Multiple Registers; reference number: 12288; word count: 100.
Any suggestions?

This issue has been fixed in the codebase. I will make a new release version as soon as possible.
