I have been commisioned a project that requires communication with a modbus device on both a win32 and a Raspberry Pi. The people working on this previously were using jamod but i found it is incompatible with raspberry.
A quick search led me to Modbus4j and I know this library works on windows but my question is whether it would work on the linux distribution of the Raspberry PI computer that has a 700 MHz ARM1176JZF-S core (ARM11 family). Can anyone confirm this?
Thank you very much.

Yes it should work fine. Modbus4J is used in Mango Automation SCADA system which the full thing will run on a Raspberry Pi.
Thank you so much for your prompt reply.
One last thing. Can you direct me to a good site or forum where I can learn how to use it? Thanks
