Hi everyone, I spent the last few nights rewriting mod_xslt basically from scratch. It dropped some features such as Gennady Feldmans XSL-Serving and my Cookie features. Not that I didn't like them, but I decided on a very clean rewrite. I tested this rewrite on Linux, OS X, and a friend did shortly on Windows. This is now a clean mean xsl machine. :-> Due to the complete rewrite, which left no stone unturned I also changed the version to 2.0.0 and will follow the Linux Kernel versioning scheme in the future. I hope you will d/l this new version and give it a spin. Greetings and TTY, Philipp Dunkel |

I am glad to announce, that after weeks of intensive work by Gennady and myself, we have pulled together a new release of mod-xslt. We have decided to call this version 1.0.0rc1 reflecting the fact that it is the most stable release of mod-xslt ever!!! rc1 means release candidate 1. This means unless we find any serious bugs in it within the next week or two, we will release mod-xslt-1.0.0 The first really stable release, which should no longer be a bug festival. So wherever you are, break out the champagne and get ready for downloading from http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/mod-xslt TTY Philipp ph...@du...> |

I had a busy night last night fixing some bugs that were mentioned to me by Hideki Nishimura a while ago and that I had ignored due to a lack of time. Now the Character encoding stuff works as well as the media-type setting. Additionally I added a way to assign User-Agent dependant Stylesheets. So now you can have different ones for Netscape and IE (or WEB and WAP for that matter). Furthermore the XSLTUnsetStylesheet directive has been added which enables you to clear a default Stylesheet for a subdirectory. I have just decided to freeze mod-xslt alpha, so unless there are any serious bugs, this will go into beta 2 moths from now. Have fun, and stay tuned! |

Hi all, I am sending this mail to everyone that has shown some interrest in mod-xslt whatsoever. I you don't care, delete it I won't bug you again. Why can I promise that? because I have just created the mailinglist mod...@li... and if you care you can subscribe there. Any news will be dispersed through that list. Aside from that I have put togehter a little administrative effort, to help me get things done more easily. One of these being CVS. Any further developmetn will be managed by the sourceforge CVS system. So if you want the lastest stuff, get it there. This should also make an involment by others significantly easier. (And I hope there are some of you who would like to help.) Although I am trying to motivate myself to write some documentation and make the package use autoconf, etc... These would be some points where I could really use some help, aside from doing some hacking. As the subject-line already sais there is a new version out: 1.0.4a It has one major new feature. It debugs your XSLT for you by hooking into libxslt. I hope you like it. Last but not least: I am greatful for any feedback I get. So feel free to write either to me (ph...@du...) or to the new list. Thanks for consuming my ramblings without complaints, and happy hacking. Philipp |
