[mod-security-users] Initial setup mod_security with httpd-guardian

Anyone on this list have experience with using mod_security running on
WHM/Cpanel with httpd-guardian?

When I dive into the httpd-guardian perl script there are some settings
I could use some clarification on such as:

1) is "spread" required to use httpd-guardian?
2) the perl script httpd-guardian when started and with the entry for
spread set to not run, I do not see any port 3333 open as should be.
3) when httpd-guardian set to run (toggled in the script) I get an error
message about spread - so I'm assuming it is required to use the service
effectively, however;
4) the wording of the instructions in the script is not very clear or
written in a way that leaves it open to interpretation whether or not
spread is required.
