Hi folks (and especially Christian and Ivan), just received the ModSecurity Handbook 2nd ed. announcement. Congratulations for getting this into print - yay! :-) What I couldn't find mentioned so far was, if it still is a dual media buy (digital & paperback) as it was for the first edition. Is that still the case? Hi there, On Tue, Jul 04, 2017 at 02:51:02PM +0000, Stefan Müller-Wilken wrote: > just received the ModSecurity Handbook 2nd ed. announcement. > Congratulations for getting this into print - yay! :-) Thank you. Printing of the first copies is happening as we speak. > What I couldn't find mentioned so far was, if it still is a dual media > buy (digital & paperback) as it was for the first edition. Is that > still the case? The situation is now as follows: - EBooks are sold via Feisty Duck: https://www.feistyduck.com/books/modsecurity-handbook/ - Paperbacks are sold via Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/ModSecurity-Handbook-Second-Christian-Folini/dp/1907117075/?tag=blivri-20 The reason is, that competing with Amazon is no longer possible for small publishers as Feisty Duck. This is print on demand but even that way Amazon is way cheaper. So Feisty Duck concentrates on the EBook who is really good quality as reported by several readers of the beta release (No DRM, page count adjusted, index is correct, etc.) Feisty Duck is looking into giving you the EBook for free after proof of purchase of a paperback. But this is only a plan. So for the moment it is either or. Hope this helps. Ahoj, Christian P.S. We are still looking for reviewers. I think Feisty Duck would hand out a paperback for a published review. -- There are all kinds of interesting questions that come from a knowledge of science, which only adds to the excitement and mystery and awe of a flower.
