I put modsecurity-nginx-v1.0.0.tar.gz in the SOURCES directory for an NGINX RPM build (I can't share that particular spec file), but I include something like: Source1: https://github.com/SpiderLabs/ModSecurity-nginx/releases/download/v1.0.0/modsecurity-nginx-v1.0.0.tar.gz as a source, and I include modsecurity-devel in BuildRequires: BuildRequires: ...,modsecurity-devel and have this: %setup -T -D -a 1 -n nginx-%{version} as part of setup, and I'm adding this to configure: ./configure \ --add-module=./modsecurity-nginx-v1.0.0 \ . . . Hope that helps!
