Overall it is working pretty well.
Had a problem with images not being cached but I make them excluded by 'file' and that worked. It would be nice if the mime exclude did this also.
Now my main problem is I can't get large files to download unless I put the extension the in the 'file' exclude. Example.. I had a 9MB zip file. I could not download it. I put "mod_gzip_item_exclude file \.zip$" and it worked. I don't wnat to have to do this with every file type! And yes my /tmp dir is working. I have tested it.
I wish you could do something like:
mod_gzip_item_include handler ^cgi-script$
mod_gzip_item_include file \.html$
mod_gzip_item_include file \.php$
mod_gzip_item_exclude file *
Exclude everything except the files I list.
That would provide me with less chance of trouble files.
Is mod_gzip even being developed anymore?
