How about a version of the sql classes that compiles under
jdk1.3 AND jdk1.4 as an interim measure? All of the new
jdbc methods could throw unsupported operation exceptions,
but anyone coding to the interface from 1.3 wouldn't even
know those operations existed. This code could be put into
place right now.
The issue seems to be that if you release a version of
mockobjects that actually uses some new 1.4 functionality or
a class that didn't exist previously, then you'll need a
separate code branch to support all the 1.3 users.
