In the todo.txt you have stand to create a --with-mng option to have standard builds without MNG but for easy changing tu use MNG from trunk.
We should use --enable-image-decoders(=all, mng) for this ... it's easier to patch and later to change default value.
Will make a patch, if you want.
Right. Also it should be set up so that if mng is included in the decoder list and png is not, libmng provides the png support.
I think that's for later try if we are back on trunk :-)
I've uploaded a patch, to be applied *after* opi's patch, that achieves PNG support via libmng and omitting libpng from the build. Click on the "patches" nav button.
I don't know why it is necessary to have PNGs
masquerade under the image/x-jng MIME type for
it to work.
Who have done the FireFox builds?
We should split the packages into 'Mozilla Linux Binaries' and 'FireFox Linux Binaries'
Mike Tigras ("Nova" or "MadmanNova") has been making them, and announcing them in the "FireFox Builds" forum at mozillazine. Nova also posted a patch a few months ago to bugzilla, bug #18574.
I have split the Windows and Linux packages as you suggested.
Oops, it's Tigas not Tigras.
Ahh, ok thanks.
New Linux-trunk binaries will follow.
