#43 'No time-out when connecting endlessly' blocks new polls

Under certain circumstances (e.g. with some "fancy"
firewalls like the new ZoneAlarm 5) MMM3 tries to
connect to a mail server endlessly. *This* is not really a
bug in MMM3 (as the behavior can be seen in (e.g.)
Outlook as well). But if a mailbox "hangs" in
this "connecting to host..." state, it is not polled after
the next poll period. See the attached screenshot for an
example.

It would be wise, if the connection state of a mailbox
would be "resetted" before the mailbox is polled, i.e. all
current operations are to be cancelled/stopped, so that
it is sure that also the "blocked" mailboxes are polled. As
an extension a time-out mechanism would be nice.

Thank you in advance.

BTW: MMM3 is still the best way to avoid SPAM and
virus mail. No automatic tool can beat human
intelligence :-)
