[Mlterm-dev-en] gtk2 input modules?

hi,

as mlterm already uses gtk2...
would it be hard to make it use the gtk2 input modules?

it's nice that it can use uim natively, and i use that feature,
but imho supporting the gtk2 input modules would bring a lot of input
modes.


ofcourse maybe it's impossible ;)

Basically mlterm is an Xlib-based application and doesn't use
GTK+. GTK+ is used for external tools such as mlconfig and
mlterm-menu. mlterm itself are using only imlib or *gdk-pixbuf*
for eye candy functions such as transparent background and
scrollbar plugin.

Yes, it is too hard.

I designed the pluggable IM module API for mlterm without
dependece on GTK+, since mlterm is not a GTK+ application.
For using GTK+ immodule within mlterm, Somthing like bridge
between both APIs will be needed.

well...i haven't really counted..
i just assumed that there should be much more...maybe there are not...
what i know about are 
scim and iiimf.

mlterm does everything what i need in it's current state (all i need is
english + slovak + japanese ;)

it was simply a wild idea ;)
