I have now compiled a minimalistic mlterm 3.9.0, using the options listed in the README file to minimise the binary, and adding only --prefix=/usr/local and --with-gui=xlib. The mouse behaviour is the same as with Ubuntu's distribution version: all I can do with it is to highlight text and scroll up and down. I am assuming this behaviour is not intended, in which case there is evidently a bug somewhere. I'll be happy to supply more details of my setup if they would be helpful. If I am mistaken and this behaviour is intentional, please can some way be provided to switch it off? I would very much like to use mlterm, but cannot do so while the mouse behaves in this way.
