I'm sorry but mterm-3.0.6 has a "double free" problem which was fixed after mlterm-3.0.7. Please see following Debian BTS in detail. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=640180 For the time being, how about carrying out downgrade to mlterm-3.0.5 ? (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/oneiric/i386/mlterm/3.0.5-2) Mlterm-3.0.8 package of debian sid seems avaialble at http://packages.debian.org/sid/mlterm-common, though I don't test it on Ubuntu 11.10.
