[Mlterm-dev-en] japanese font problem

hi,

i am learning japanese and trying to use mlterm....
(i decided to send many emails ..one for every problem, 
i hope it's better this way)

fonts:

somehow jpn-fonts look ugly.

both xterm and rxvt-unicode jpn-fonts look readable..
it can very much be that i configured something wrong...
so:
how can i specify the font that i want to use?


p.s: one question to native japanese users...
what font size do you use? because for me it's always 
a problem, because the kanji are the same size as the latin letters,
and for me at least they are quite hard to read at that size.
but if i increase the font size, latin letters became veeery large ;)
