[Mlterm-dev-en] open_screen_intern() failed ??

Hello,
I heard great things with regards to mlterm to i figured i will 
give it a try.
However every time i try to invoke mlterm i get the following error:
Unable to start - open_screen_intern() failed
I have searched the mailing list and google and i found nothing.
I would appreciate any help with this.
