I am working on script to building DVD menu generated with MLT. For creation menu subtitles (i.e. visible rectangles when you choose chapter with DVD player) I use convert utility from imagemagick. I create 720x576 75x80dpi image, draw rectangles, clip palette to 3 colors and save it to png. Then, I encode animated menu with inigo. It produces for me the 720x576 mpeg video. The spumux utility combines the mpeg video and a set of subtitles' pictures in solit mpeg file which is used for building DVD structure.
With both, convert and inigo, I use the precalculated coordinates for rectangles and videoframes, respectively. But, as you can see, on attached screenshot, there is much difference between rectangle and frame sizes.
I don't understand, what's wrong. But I have an idea that the problem is in 16x9 format of generated mpeg video. Any your ideas?
