My camera (not a camcorder) is able to shoot in motion jpeg 1024 x 768,
at 15 frames per second. I could open the file in Kdenlive in HDV 720p,
which seems appropriate.
Any plans to allow MLT to handle custom resolutions and fps like mine?

It already does. It loads them and automatically scales, preserving the=20
aspect, to the output resolution, and it remaps the framerate as well. Thes=
activities are called "normalisation" in MLT's terminology. The new profile=
configure the output as well as the normalisation. The answer to your=20
question is another question: what are you expecting?
Do you want a new output profile that is 1024x768 15fps?
Do you want kdenlive to automatically select or configure a profile based u=
the first clip you load into a project?
