#47 Mobile phone client login error
Good day,
With the latest MLE installed on Moodle 1.9.10, I can access and login to the MLE web interface from my mobile phone successfully. However, when installing the mobile phone client (Nokia or generic version), I receive the following error:
"Your attempt to log in failed. Please check your settings and try again. If the problem persists, please contact your administrator."
Our installation has been performed as per the Step-by-Step Tutorial, default Download-Server enabled. This issue does not occur on the elibera.com demo site. Another user has reported the same issue on his MLE-Moodle deployment: https://sourceforge.net/apps/phpbb/mle/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=100.
I did detect that the MLE authentication plugin displays as [[auth_mletitle]] on the Manage authentication admin screen and is disabled after MLE installation. Enabling this plugin did however not resolve this issue. I can also see the failed login attempts in the Moodle live logs:
login failed for john

Thank you for the feedback. I've performed all the instructions as per the FAQ link provided but still cannot log in with the MLE Moodle mobile client, the same error message is still displayed: "Your attempt to log in failed. Please check your settings and try again. If the problem persists, please contact your Administrator."
I've enabled debug mode in the MLE settings on the Moodle site and when viewing the Moodle logs, I see the following entries for my log in attempts:
mle login login failed for john
I get this entry for both message server enabled and disabled. I did test the phone-specific MLE client (Nokia N95) and generic and minimal clients, all giving me the same error message. I also re-entered all server settings and user login details multiple times.
Any further ideas on how I can troubleshoot this issue would be appreciated.
