#44 driver does not work in OS 10.2.4

I have an 8500 w/g4 700 running OS10.2.4, the floppy
driver mounts after a few minutes of grinding, but is not
usable. It made a test disk (formatted for os9)
unusable, and I had to reformat it in OS9. It does not
allow file transfers, and is far to slow to be usable.
