hi, been using mjpg-streamer for like 4 years now, simple webcam setup, very nice, very dependable, thank you
had slackware 12.0 machine, /var/log/messages would have lines like the following
Oct 15 06:52:07 testmachine MJPG-streamer : serving client: 000.00.00.000:1517
Oct 15 06:53:07 testmachine MJPG-streamer : serving client: 000.00.00.000:1518
Oct 15 06:54:07 testmachine MJPG-streamer : serving client: 000.00.00.000:1519
Oct 15 06:55:07 testmachine MJPG-streamer : serving client: 000.00.00.000:1520
now on slackware 14.0 there are no EVERY LINE SHOWS
is there anyway for mjpg-streamer to NOT log to /var/log/messages?
Sorry for the late response.
I have checked the code, and the syslog() function is used to log the new client.
I would not like to introduce a new argument for turning off the syslog logging, but we can use a macro to disable the syslog everywhere. Would this method fits with your needs?
