I never thought about different DPi then 72 (Mac).
But i was accidentally not that wrong after all :-)

In short:
For screen display of images the DPI is irrelevant.

For text it does matter (ie. embedded Text in images, CSS styled text.).
So i`ll stick with the em value to let text look identical in Mixxx for different OS`s.

For print it does matter if knowing the inches or pixel dimensions.

I'm not sure if it is relevant here, but my Gnome desktop has a default
of 96dpi.

Hello,
we had a discussion going on about the default size for skins.
After some measurements for different Operating Systems i came up with some values which i suggest to be the default.

As long as we use the current skinning engine and the problem of non resizable skins persist this should help avoiding try&error if somebody takes on new skins.
