#3 Enable exit hop to add footers

Lucky Green

The mixmaster remailer chain exit hop should be able
to define an automated signature to be added to all
email being delivered to its final destination.

Such a signature would permit the admin to include
instructions on how to obtain more information about
the remailer. Presently, the recipient of an
anonymous email interested in learning more about
that mysterious thing called a remailer from which he
just received an email has now way of knowing that
more information can be obtained by sending
a "remailer-help" to the remailer.

Being able to add such a signature would be both good
advertisement for remailers and solve a newbie
bootstrap problem.

A footer, you mean? (I first thought you meant that the
remailer should PGP sign the message.)

I suspect that it shouldn't be hard to add this. I need to
look at the code where Comment: is added to the
    outgoing file.

Doesn't the "Comment" header show up in most email
    clients, though?

Yes, I meant auto footer, similar to those added by a
virtually all free email services and most mailing list

Currently, Mixmaster inserts a disclaimer in the header
Comments: field, which the remailer admin can customize to
    his liking.

Also, Mixmaster allows for an additional disclaimer to be
placed in the message body if user-defined From: addresses
    are permitted.

This should cover all the "abuse problems" bases. Is there
still any reason to want this feature?
