Hi!, I own a recording studio and unfortunately I have a Hard Disk recording system, and I say unfortunately because I had some ADAT recording machines and it was really cool plugging eight cables, pressing ONE button and sit down to hear the session. I have used linux since along time ago, and I like programming too, so I am interested in a SOLID way of record 8 tracks from my 8 different D/Ac's and only play them (as if it was a recording machine, I assign inputs and press Play-REC, and I think a lot of audio engineer's will be happy the day that one program of that simplicity and stability exists. I use linux every day, all the time, but I HAVE to start windows (that I really hate it) to record my sessions and maybie at a middle of one great jazz solo, windows crashes and thats really nasty. I don't know what types of hardware your software supports, but maybie if you tell me it's not a very very big trouble I can help in developing a driver for my AUDIO card (a professional one (24 inputs and 24 outputs)), thank you for reading this. (My card is a MOTU 2408, "www.motu.com"). Thanks! Daniel Aspuru |
