Hi list, fellow MisterHouse users,
I think voice recognition is the Holy Grail of home automation and based
on what I have read so far, MisterHouse is well positioned to take
advantage of voice recognition since it's been designed with voice
recognition in mind. I have not looked into configuring my MH system for
speech recognition yet but I've grown more and more curious about how to
do it and whether it'd perform well.
With this in mind, I have two questions:
1. I am looking at Pocketsphinx as the speech recognition engine to use.
Any thoughts on how well this engine performs?
2. Asterisk interface -- I don't have microphones anywhere in my house,
but I do have a great Asterisk PBX, so I was thinking that if I could
call in and give MisterHouse voice commands I would have the Holy Grail
of home automation. Is this within the realm of possibility; has anyone
successfully interfaced Asterisk and MisterHouse for speech recognition?
Thanks in advance for any hints.
P.S. I run MisterHouse on Linux.
