If your data is pretty simply, the simplest way is to use a web request. For example, you can test with this: $test_item1 = new Generic_Item; print_log "test item set to $state" if $state = state_now $test_item1; Then point a browser to this: http://localhost:8091/set;no_response?$test_item1?tomatoes are wise Then you should see this in your print_log: http://localhost:8091/set;no_response?$test_item1?tomatoes are wise If that will work for what you need, then there are lots of command line ways of doing web request, including mh/bin/get_url I have a windows compiled version you can try here: http://w3.misterhouse.net:81/public/get_url.exe Bruce |
