Thanks to several subscribers who offered their suggestions about
getting my X10 devices going. I've added a CM11 device to
mh.private.ini as the following snippet shows:
Creating socket and serial objects
- creating http on tcp 8080 buffered
- creating server_mhsend on tcp 8084 buffered
- creating server_telnet on tcp 1234 raw
- creating cm11 object on port /dev/ttyS0
And I've added a new X10 item to items.mht (This is an X10-powered
beethoven:/home/wilson# cat /usr/local/misterhouse/code/items.mht
Format = A
X10A, B1, test_light, All_Lights,
Unfortunately, it doesn't work. I've tried using the Web interface and
creating a simple script, but neither can switch this outlet ON and
Barring a hardware problem, what is the recommended debugging strategy?
BTW, I'm running MH on a Debian Linux system with my CM11 device
connected to ttyS0. I've double-checked the address on the X10 device
to make sure that it's "B1". The unswitched outlet works fine.
