Thanks for the info. I knew there had to be some way to
do it in Perl but I have very little experience with it
and couldn't find anything in the MH docs. I'll find out
if it works tomorrow. :)
I bought the RCS 8 relay module which is X10
controllable. I send a signal to turn on the relay and
another one to turn it off. The relays control a
collection of 24V valves. Right now I have the Rainbird
in ground in-line valves rigged to some hose pipes and
sprinklers with a bunch of adapters!!! I just moved in
to a new house so spending a lot of money (and time) for
a real sprinkler system was out of the question. The
good thing about the way I'm doing it is that I can re-
use the valves when I finally get around to burying
pipes. I also figure that 8 zones should be sufficient
for when I landscape the back and sides of the house so
I can keep using the RCS box.
