What you need is a low-tech device to stop the flow of water when the pond
surface reaches a certain level. Like what happens in your toilet tank.
It's a shut-off valve actuated by a float.
You will find that even when everything works as it should, it is the
safest way to add in your pond just the right amount of water.
This part is not X-10 but I still hope it helps.
