Hello Jason, Op 20-mrt-2011, om 21:48 heeft Jason Sharpee het volgende geschreven: > > I spent the afternoon looking at the code and white-boarding ( Very impressive work done on the Insteon devices since I last looked! ) I think the approach I am going to take is to write an simple xPL driver for the 2412N in Python and get a project setup in GitHub. Unless someone has any concerns or other ideas with that? > I think that building an xPL interface is a good idea. This decouples the actual interface code (that is device specific) from the Misterhouse code, and it enables other applications to also interface to the hardware. You could consider writing the interface in Perl instead of in Python. The reason is that there is a quite extensive code environment available for xPL development in Perl. Adding support for another device should be rather straightforward: https://github.com/beanz/xpl-perl/ Best regards, Lieven. |
