I really like the VNC idea. I am having two problems with it. One is that my startmh script isn't running automatically for some reason. For testing purposes, I connected to the VNC server and ran the script manually. The bigger problem is that Xmms needs access to /dev/dsp and /dev/mixer, but these two files are not accessible to my MisterHouse user. I changed the permissions and it worked until I rebooted and my permission changes were undone. Sean, I am wondering what the permissions are for your /dev/dsp and /dev/mixer. Is it possible that your Xmms is configured to output the sound to a different driver than the one that mine uses? Thanks. -- Mark On Tue, 25 May 2004 11:46:53 -0700, Sean Walker <li...@su...> wrote: > > Neil Cherry wrote: > > > Mark Rogers wrote: > > > >> It works when I start it that way.
