Thanks Bruce. Setting the ping_protocol=none worked. I was able to move farther along in the get_mail script but I am getting negative age warning for mail I just sent out as a test msg and then tried to receive. I got an age=-56 warning. What's that about? Thanks, Lincoln -----Original Message----- From: mis...@li... [mailto:mis...@li...] On Behalf Of Bruce Winter Sent: Sunday, September 21, 2003 8:03 PM To: mis...@li... Subject: RE: [misterhouse-users] problem reading mail Pete Flaherty just added a new net_mail_*_ping parm into the next release, so you can turn off the ping test on those servers that don't support it. Till then, you can try turning off the ping test in call cases with the mh.ini parm ping_protocol=none Bruce -----Original Message----- Hi. I am unable to ping postoffice.swbell.net (POP server) but I can ping mail.swbell.net (SMTP server) in the Windows cmd window. MH complains when I try to check my mail that it can't ping postoffice.swbell.net. I have confirmed the settings for the POP and SMTP servers and MH is able to send mail to the same email address (hou...@sw...) successfully. Any ideas?
