>what am I supposed to see when I click menus on the ia5 interface top = row of=20 buttons? Answer: one button leading to loads of buttons. You need to find the file 'menu.pl' and move it to your code directory. = ( I can't remember where I found it, from other posts it seems to be in = 'Bruce' initially) Then you find 'test.menu' and move that to the code directory too. This = is just a sample one and although it is really data it still goes in the = code directory. Now when you reload and get to the web menu button you see as you 'mouse = over' it is calling up the program menu.pl The first thing menu.pl does is create its own mh.menu file ( in code = directory) which has every command in it ( dead clever). You should then get a web page with a button called 'top'. click that and you get some more buttons; this set of buttons is defined = inside the menu.pl code. The 'default' button actually leads to the info = in your 'test.menu' file, and the button called 'test' would lead to a = file 'test2.menu' if you had one but as you haven't got one it's just = blank. ( this is cunningly designed to confuse the beginner). The button 'mh' leads to all that automatically created stuff in = 'mh.menu' and its first set of sub-buttons you should recognise as the = "# Category =3D xxx" at the top of each of your code files (clever stuff = this). Finally the button 'main' would pick up a file called 'main.menu' of = which there is a sample which is Bruce's personal arrangement of = commands. You will eventually be able to make your own version of called = 'main.menu' for your own requirements as explained in the docs. Suggestion: In case the clever people read this far. Could we have an option for inserting a number into each button linked = somehow to the infrared remote input so that by routing the PC screen to = the domestic TV and somehow calling up the menu, one could surf the mh = commands from the couch during the adverts.
