I would be wary of someone else sending commands to my mh server. At least, I would have been before this memorial day weekend. I was visiting a friend who uses FRS for some extra-curricular activities of his, and I am an amateur radio operator, so we compare notes. He had a new radio which would not only use tone and tone squelch, but it also had a "security" mode, which sounded an awful lot like an inverter to me when I listened to it on my VX-5R. I don't remember what brand of radio it was, but the "security" mode or "privacy" mode seemed to work pretty well. If I used too much jargon, I will be glad to explain. rob |
