There are a number of ways you can do this: 1. use the mute command to keep things mum until 8:00 am 2. use time_cron to set a variable to allow speaking after 8:00am 3. use the time_great_than and time_less_than to make a window for it to speak = in. Mute would be your best answer I would say. There was a message about this just a couple of days ago, likely easy to find = at the Yahoo archive. >> Anyone got a quick hit for detecting if it's after 8:00 am? >> In my house, mh wakes (Normal Mode) up at 6:00am. However, the wife >> doesn't care to hear that I have mail waiting at that hour. (go figya!) >> I'd like to modify my internet_mail.pl to not announce the waiting mail >> until after 8:00am. (or maybe 8:30am???) >> TIA >> Kieran Epson Inkjet Printer FAQ: http://welcome.to/epson-inkjet |
