Hello, I'm pretty sure this is begginer's question. I'm trying to inherit from LCD object but have constant error coming up: Error in user code: Thu 04/05/2001 20:35:08: Can't locate object method "new" via package "Tinia_LCD" at (eval 71) line 202. --------------I do this in Tinia_LCD.pm (I've stripped code): use strict ; package Tinia_LCD ; @Tinia_LCD::ISA = qw ( LCD ); sub new { my ($class, $address, $size, $menu_group ) = @_; $menu_group = 'default' unless $menu_group; my $self{menu_group} = $menu_group; # Use a posthook, so the menus get parsed first on startup &::MainLoop_post_add_hook( \&Tinia_LCD::process, 0, $self ); bless $self, $class; return $self; } ------- and call this with : $lcd3 = new Tinia_LCD '1', '2x60','tinia_all'; ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------- What am I doing wrong ? How can I track this one ?
