First of all many thanks for this nice piece of DLNA-server, which really works on my machine.
My Server-Machine do not have a permanenly attached hard drive. The OS is running on a flash-module with 2GB capacity. MiniDLNA create a database file located in the directory /tmp/minidlma. This is not very helpful for me because I don't have more space on this partition.
Therefore my first request: That would be very better if I will be able to configure the database path.
My seconds request is much more difficult . If the database is not accessible (because of the usb hard drive is down for example), the minidlna-server will do nothing (maybe just a warning message). In this case the minidlna-server will try again to open/create the database on the flight up on a client-request after a time interval. The background of this idea is I would have my database file and my entire media files locate on an external USB-hard drive, which is not permanently connected with my server-machine.
I am very happy to have your minidlna.
Many thanks again.
