It would be nice to have the genre folder organize first by artist and then by album. Right now it is only organized by artist and when it is clicked all songs appear without an specific order.

Many have preferences and the metadata based containers are cpu intensive to create due to sqlite. Adding everyone's preferences would increase scan time and database size.

Ordering is dependent on your client to request and honor the sort order.
Thanks very much for the info. I modified scanner.c:insert_containers() to customize sorting. I post the file in case anybody can find it of any use.
