I`ve compiled sucessfully MiniDLNA on Debian Squeeze. MiniDLNA is running now on port 8200. But this works only on the localhost. I`am not able to access MiniDLA from any other computer in the network. Iàm not really sure, but MiniDLNA should listen on my eth0 ip adress and not on 0.0.0.0.
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:1900 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 25859/minidlna
udp 0 0 192.168.x.xx:40107 0.0.0.0:* 25859/minidlna
udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:1900 0.0.0.0:* 25859/minidlna
Network ist working without problems, because gnomes rygel runs instantly and is visible trough the upnp-tools.
Ive also tested this on a second machine, locally MiniDLNA is visible and working but not visible on other machines. Rygel works like described instantly and without problems.
Any ideas how to fix this problem?
This sounds familiar, and I think I ran into a similar problem when I had to rebuild my server. Though maybe not the same!
I recall doing something to bind the udp broadcasts to my intranet network interface. Note that this was not a change to minidlna.conf, and setting minidlna to a specific interface did not affect it.
It was probably something to do with my IP tables though it was quite some time ago and I'm not able to access the machine to check at the moment, so I'm unable to be more specific.
Did you set "network_interface=eth0" in minidlna.conf? Or try running "minidlna -i eth0"?
