    Hi all,

is there a way to implement some kind of parental control in minidlna.
I mean a feature like user profiling or mark the contents (video or audio) as protected and unblock via password typed on remote control.

    Thanks.
    Vittorio

PS: I compiled and installed minidlna for my d-link nas and I find it a very good product: easy to use and with all the features I need. Thanks

There is concept of parental controls or restrictions in the DLNA standard. Hence it is not possible via miniDLNA or any of the clients out there,
If this is something important to you, you would have to use a client that supports something like Windows Networking (SMB/CIFS) rather than DLNA.  This allows permissions based access.
