I just wanted to say thanks - I have a Sony Bravia 32W5500 TV and the dlna feature on that television would have been wasted space if it wasn't for minidlna.
I can access mp3's, jpeg's and some videos. I've been trying to find exactly how to encode my videos to work with the TV, but this is not a problem with minidlna.
Anyway, thanks again - and for those interested with a similar tv - there is thread on getting them to work with minidlna at the ubuntu forums: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1185619
