I've made an git copy of the CVS repository at https://github.com/azatoth/minidlna andI would suggest that future developement to be handled via git instead of cvs :) (I would assume that patches are more easy handled in git than in cvs, though I've not used cvs in many many years)
I've added six of the I believe pending patches as separate branches to the git repository which you can see here: https://github.com/azatoth/minidlna/branches
I felt a surge to change build system and though it's not perfect, I've rewritten the whole thing now using scons.
I decided to rebase the master branch and keep what was there after lastest cvs(*CENSORED*) import as old_makefile branch. I hope this doesn't impose any problems for you guys :)
master is directly at https://github.com/azatoth/minidlna
I agree, git is a lot better.
I would really like Justin to give a comment about his thoughts about this; I really hate CVS, thus I hope we can switch asap (Have merged the cvs into my repo yet again)
I've fixed the gettext usage now (fixed two broken po files as well).
All merged with current cvs, but I really don't want to keep merging :)
I've merged and tagged 188.8.131.52 as well now
Just want to inform that I'm still keeping the git repo up to date.
Sadly I've been starting to divert in the development as there are no functional communication back here. :(
Just an heads up, I've fixed the icon loading code now; Thus the application will now load icons at runtime instead of having them statically hard coded into the sourcecode as the cvs version has. Even though this will demand installation to install the four icons to a known place, it will allow people to easy replace the icons.
https://github.com/azatoth/minidlna as usual
Do you have any reaction from minidlna's author if there are some plans to migrate this project into your github project? I think that it is good idea to used git for development.
I have had contact, but there has been some issues with Netgear which seems to require the usage of CVS.
I asked because I am preparing some patches and I looked for repo which will be base for them. It is better for me to used git and that's why I forked your repo on github.
It's pity that it is not official repo for whole project. But it looks that you keep it up-to-date.
